Carlyle Gibson

Carlyle graduated from Victoria University, Wellington in 1994 after completing an LLB and BA (Sociology) and was employed by ACC, Medical Misadventure Unit (Head Office), Wellington before travelling to Germany for three years. Carlyle returned to New Zealand in 1998 and was employed in Ashburton until she joined Cuningham Taylor in 2001.

Carlyle's principal area of practise is family law. In 2002 Carlyle was appointed Lawyer for Child (Ashburton and Christchurch) and she has developed an extensive practice particularly serving the Ashburton area.

Carlyle is a regular volunteer for the Canterbury Community Law Centre. Her personal interests include skiing and spending all her spare time with her young daughter and family.
